okie.. I just cant stop myself telling u the story of this movie.. I ll make it as short as possible..
.. there is the Bosnian border and there is the Serbian border.. and there is some 500 metres of land between the 2.. No Man's Land(NML)... (wud just like to add that the Serbs n Bosnains cant look each other in the eye..they d rather kill each other..)..
okie.. heres how it goes.. A Bosnain soldier somehow gets stranded in NML(I wont xplain how.. because I ve promised to keep it short..:)).. with the corpses of quite a few of his comrades around him... a Serbian soldier soon joins him..(Pls dont ask how!!! :D).. with one more serb.. who incidently gets killed by the Bosnian... so the Serbian soldier now has the Bosnian soldier and a few corpses for company..(one Serb and abt 10 Bosnain)...
and yeah.. before I forget... before the 1st Serb dies.. they (the 2 serbs that is..:)..) perform this amazing act of vengeance... they place a Bouncing mine under one of the dead Bosnain Corpses.. now what is a Bouncing mine.. it is this amazing invention of mankind that kinda bamboozles its victim..(imagine the victim not only dies, but hes also bamboozled!!!).. it doesnt blow when he steps on it.. but when he steps off it!!!! so now do u see the ingenuity of the 2 serbians?... When the Bosnain rescue team comes to pick up these corpses.. they wud all blow off!!! (I just wonder how cud they manage to hate each other so much!!! they were just one country some time back!!! ok I dont have to..)..
..and so the 2 men still alive find out ways and means to get out of NML... only to find out that the dead Bosnian over the Bouncing Mine is not actually dead... and that the Bosnian who is alive and not over the bouncing mine will not leave No Mans Land without his compatriot over the bouncing mine!!! and he wont let the Serb either..
..so.. now u see.. why the Aamir Khan blockbuster which talked abt the triumph of Human Spirit dint win the Oscars in 2001!!!
